Senior Researcher available at “f17 USOQS Ultra-stable optical oscillators from quantum coherent and entangled systems” and “A next-generation worldwide quantum sensor network with optical atomic clocks” projects

We invites applications for a full-time 33 months senior research position (adiunkt naukowy) in experimental atomic physics. The position will be part of :

50% of position: A next-generation worldwide quantum sensor network with optical atomic clocks. Project is carried out within the TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science

50% of position: f17 USOQS Ultra-stable optical oscillators from quantum coherent and entangled systems. Project is carried out within the „HORIZON 2020 – (9.) ARTICLE 185 – EMPIR – European Metrology Programme For Innovation And Research”

Requirements:
  • required: a doctorate in physics or a closely related field,
  • significant research experience in cold and ultra-cold atomic physics
  • significant experience in technological aspects of ultra-cold atomic physics experiments
