MSc or BSc Student Position available at “A next-generation worldwide quantum sensor network with optical atomic clocks”

We invites applications for a stipend for an MSc or BSc student position in experimental or theoretical studies of dark matter detection with optical atomic clocks and in in theoretical/observational inhomogeneous cosmology. The candidate can choose between:

of the A next-generation worldwide quantum sensor network with optical atomic clocks project, carried out within the TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science.

Desired skills and experience

  • required: either current MSc/BSc student status in studies in physics, astronomy, astrophysics or a closely related field, or a BSc (or equivalent) degree,
  • required: an excellent academic record,
  • desirable: experience through coursework and/or a research project in the basics of cosmology or experience through coursework and/or a research project in atomic physics and/or in numerical modelling of dark-matter dominated galaxy formation
