Title: Continuous computations, super-Turing machines

  • Objective: understand the power of continous computations
  • Participants: - W. Duch
  • Time:  first thoughts in 1996
  • Results: collecting literature on continouous computations, connecting it with the idea of mind as an approximation;
  • Open problems: what is known about the power of computations in such systems? What kind of restrictions of the Godel type can one find here? How to perform field-computations? Although a few papers on such field computations in neural systems were written so far nothing practical emerged.

  • Literature:

    McLennan Bruce, simulacra, population coding and continouos computing;
    Theory: Hava Siegelman, super-Turing computation, in neuroprose ?
